March 13 Inauguration of New Hospitality House
THE HOUSE WAS INAUGRATED ON MARCH 13, 2010 !
This
project to build a new hospitality house specifically suited to the needs of our bone marrow transplant patients is finishing,
and in under a month we have our opening ceremony.
1.
Our hospitality house ministry was paying rental costs on a house
where we could carry out this ministry to children who undergo a bone marrow transplant, and need housing nearby the hospital
until they can recuperate sufficiently to return home. The rental costs consumed
a high percentage of the Brazilian donations we receive for maintaining the work. Desiring
to be free from this financial stress, we believed that owning a house would safeguard the extension of the ministry far into
the future. The new hospitality house will be in compliance with the needs that
these children and their mothers really require, and the new construction has been designed specifically with their needs
in mind, especially providing each unit with a private room and bathroom.
2. Children and their mothers will have free room and board in a house where they will receive
compassionate and loving care, reflecting Christian values, and where Christ will be shared with the hope that they will know
Him as Lord and Savior. They will perceive through the personal care that is
given, and in the quality of appropriate housing that is provided that God cares for them in this situation in which they
are suffering. We will have available 5 bedroom suites, a kitchen that is easily
maintained and avoids unhygienic contamination, as well as an area for recreation and entertainment.
Gifts are still very much welcome as we upgrade existing furnishings
from time to time and do maintenance on the house.
